Why we ask for your consent

Photos are sometimes taken during ASCCO's sports and cultural activities (classes, outings, events, carnival, the northern districts festival, and so on). In line with image rights and the GDPR, we ask every member (or their legal guardians for minors) for explicit and optional consent before publishing anything.

Where might they appear?

If you give your consent, we may use these photos on:

• The association's website (association-ascco.com)
• Our social media (Facebook, Instagram)
• Our newsletter and internal communications
• The local press (Le Pélican, Le Journal de Saint-Barth, and others) for events open to the public

What we will never do

• Sell, transfer or pass the photos on to commercial partners
• Use the photos for paid advertising
• Alter the photos in any way that could harm the person's image
• Publish photos that would highlight sensitive personal information (health, religion, and so on)

Duration and withdrawal

Your consent applies for as long as you are a member and until you withdraw it. At any time you may:

• Ask for a specific photo to be taken down from the site or social media
• Withdraw your consent altogether for future publications
• Ask us to delete every archived photo of you

To do so, simply write to contact@association-ascco.com stating your name and what you are asking for. We will respond within 30 days, as required by the GDPR.

If you say no

You are perfectly free to refuse: it has no effect on your registration or on your taking part in activities. We will make sure not to photograph you individually, and to blur your face in group photos where needed.

For minors

For children under 18, their legal guardians give consent on their behalf at registration. Once they come of age, they can ask for withdrawal or deletion themselves.
